As of September 20, 2024, we documented 300 cases of unlawful detention of healthcare workers in Palestine by Israeli Occupation Forces since October 7, 2023.

• 82 physicians, 5 dentists, 81 nurses, 45 paramedics, 7 pharmacists, 1 optometrist, 22 technicians, 29 healthcare administrative staff, 12 healthcare students, 3 volunteers, 1 nutritionist, 1 community healthcare worker, 1 prosthetist, 1 psychologist, and 9 others.
• 4 healthcare workers were killed in detention.
• 155 are currently in detention.
• 23 are missing.
• 118 have been released (including 3 detained twice before being released).

Of the total detained, 264 were from Gaza Strip and 36 from the West Bank. Over 50 testimonies—video, voice, or written—of torture were taken or collated by HWW.
