As of May 10, 2024, we have documented 244 cases of unlawful detention of healthcare workers in Palestine by Israeli Occupation Forces since October 7, 2023. This includes 74 physicians, 2 dentists, 65 nurses, 42 paramedics, 5 pharmacists, 1 optometrist, 17 technicians, 20 healthcare administrative staff, 5 healthcare students, 3 volunteers, and 10 others.

The current status of those detained is as follows:

• 1 was killed while in detention
• 122 are currently in detention
• 43 are missing
• 2 were detained twice and then released
• 76 were abducted once and then released

Out of the total, 228 healthcare workers were unlawfully detained from the Gaza Strip and 16 from the West Bank. We have collected 24 video, voice, or written testimonies detailing instances of torture. HWW continues to document these violations and advocates for the immediate release and protection of all detained healthcare workers.
