Since October 7, 2023, a total of 204 healthcare workers have been killed in Gaza. This includes 32 physicians, 18 dentists, 16 medical and dental students, 3 medical scientists, 68 nurses, 21 paramedics, 7 physiotherapists, 24 pharmacists, 14 lab technicians, and 1 optometrist. The continued targeting of healthcare professionals has severely weakened Gaza’s ability to provide critical medical care during this ongoing crisis. HWW remains steadfast in documenting these violations and advocating for the protection of healthcare workers on the ground.
